Leoforce in Temple, TX is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee costing, ledger maintenance, and monthly financial reporting. The role requires strong analytical skills and collaboration with management.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance with at least 5 years in a similar role, preferably in construction, and excel proficiency. CPA is desirable but not required. Excellent benefits accompany this opportunity.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficient in accounting software and Excel.
• Independent working capability with team collaboration.
• CPA certification is highly desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee job costing activities ensuring accurate allocation of costs and resources.
• Maintain the general ledger including journal entries, analysis, and reconciliations.
• Prepare, review, and distribute monthly financial reports to management and stakeholders.
• Manage AP/AR processes ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and payments.
• Assist with budgets and forecasts, analyze variances, provide feedback to management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and policies.
• Participate in year-end audit, liaise with external auditors, address issues.
• Identify process improvements and implement efficiency enhancements.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and foster a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• 1. Overseeing job costing activities, ensuring accurate allocation of costs and resources.
• 2. Maintaining the general ledger, including the preparation of journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliation.
• 3. Preparing, reviewing, and distributing monthly financial reports to management and stakeholders.
• 4. Managing accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
