Job summary

Ultimus Fund Solutions seeks a Senior Accountant I for Financial Reporting in Philadelphia. You will review financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, cash flows, and footnotes, and gain understanding of hedge funds and private equity funds under administration.

You will respond to client inquiries and ensure timely, accurate statements. The role requires 2–5+ years’ accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and MBA/MSA or CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years’ (relevant) experience in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
• MBA/MSA strongly preferred.
• CPA license is strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with knowledge of Investran or other partnership accounting software a plus.
• Ability to multitask, time management, attention to detail, planning, and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to communicate and interact professionally and effectively through written and oral communication with current and potential clients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle/manage multiple team and individual priorities and deadlines.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles, methods, procedures, internal controls with the ability to exercise good judgement.
• Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the clients’ business and maintain strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Review financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, statement of changes, cash flows, schedule of investments and footnote disclosures including financial highlights.
• Understanding of hedge funds and private equity funds under administration (legal structure, investment objective, fee structure, etc.).
• Timely response to client inquiries, as required.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial statements.
• Continually updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; internal company and team trainings; maintains personal networks; participates in professional development opportunities.
• Assist in the development and training of new team members as required.
• Coordination and completion of special projects as directed by the client requests and as directed by management; and
• Manage client’s expectations and oversee deliverable deadlines.
