Job summary

Ultimus Fund Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant (Hedge) in New York to ensure timely NAV calculations, investor allocations, and preparation of financial and investor statements. The role also requires mentoring staff accountants and regular interaction with clients, team members, and management.

The candidate will participate in client engagements, uphold internal controls, and coordinate with stakeholders to meet deadlines while developing team capabilities.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years’ accounting or related field experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
• MBA or MSA in Accounting strongly preferred.
• CPA license strongly preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; knowledge of HedgeTek or similar software and HFPM is a plus.
• Strong multitasking, time management, and detail-oriented skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication with clients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Process portfolio activity and perform reconciliations with brokers, custodians, and clients.
• Prepare account activity, performance, and trial balance reporting.
• Process investor allocations and fees per fund documents.
• Communicate with clients, custodians, third parties, and management.
• Review client correspondence and address inquiries.
• Maintain internal controls within the company framework.
• Prepare complex incentive and management fee calculations.
• Participate in client audit engagements.
• Help train and mentor new team members.
• Coordinate special projects as directed by clients or management.
• Assist with onboarding of new clients.
• Review fund accountants’ NAVs and documentation for accuracy.
