Job summary

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is seeking a Senior Accountant for a South Shore-based, hybrid role with exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, month-end close, and year-end activities.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and experience with an ERP accounting system. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required, and the position offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Strong general accounting background with hands-on month-end close.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and related reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close, financial statement preparation, and reconciliations.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support year-end activities and coordinate with external auditors.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Profile

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong general accounting background with hands-on experience across the monthly close process
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, account reconciliations, and related reporting
• Comfortable working with budgets, variance analysis, and other management reporting
• Experience supporting year-end activities and working with external auditors
• Ability to handle multiple accounting and reporting priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with an ERP/accounting system
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience

The Role

Working as a key member of the accounting team, the Senior Accountant will support a broad range of accounting and reporting activities, including month-end close, financial statement preparation, account analysis and reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting support, year-end activities, and ad hoc financial analysis.
