Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements across entities.
• Lead the annual financial statement audit and coordinate with external auditors.
• Review general ledger activity, journal entries, reconciliations, and workpapers.
• Analyze weekly accounts payable activity and investigate unusual spending.
• Review accounts receivable balances, including valuation and reserves.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements across multiple entities
• Take a lead role in the annual financial statement audit and work closely with external auditors

• Analyze weekly accounts payable activity and investigate unusual or unexpected spending
• Review accounts receivable balances, including valuation, allowances, and reserve calculations
• Prepare and review complex accounting schedules and financial analyses
• Support insurance-related audit work and reserve calculations
• Perform variance and trend analysis to identify issues and explain financial results
• Evaluate existing reporting processes and identify opportunities for automation and greater efficiency
• Help strengthen accounting processes and controls as the organization continues to grow
• Provide guidance and coaching to other members of the accounting team

What They’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or audit experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation
• Experience working with multi-entity and/or consolidated financial reporting
• Strong audit background; candidates with heavier audit experience are preferred over primarily tax-focused backgrounds
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to dig into transactions and determine whether the numbers make sense
• CPA strongly preferred
