HI USA is hiring a Senior Accountant, Financial Operations to strengthen financial processes and support GAAP-compliant reporting. The role focuses on accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end close, with collaboration across departments, vendors, and auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience including AP, reconciliations, and financial operations; nonprofit experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and month-end close processes.
• Experience with account reconciliations, accruals, analyses, 1099 reporting and audit support.
• Hands-on experience with accounting/ERP systems; Sage Intacct strongly preferred.
• Experience with Concur or comparable invoice/expense-management system preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Ability to leverage automation/AI tools to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable processing, including invoice coding, approvals, payments, and recording.
• Monitor AP aging; follow up with vendors and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Coordinate new vendor setup and maintain vendor information with controls.
• Prepare AP accruals, analyses, and adjustments for month-end close.
• Prepare prepaid expenses and balance sheet reconciliations for monthly/year-end close.
• Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Review employee expenses and corporate card activity; follow up on missing docs.
• Prepare occupancy tax filings and 1099 reporting; file on time.
