Metals USA, located in Langhorne, PA, seeks a Senior Accountant to maintain accounting principles, prepare the general ledger, and support timely financial statements. This role covers a broad range of accounting activities including GL, journals, and year-end close, with emphasis on accuracy and strong internal controls.

The Senior Accountant will coordinate payroll, AR/AP, inventory, and fixed assets across regions, assist with audits, and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates payroll processing, production costs, purchases, import and export, freight, accounts payable & receivable, shipping, documentation, and inventory accuracy.
• Obtains accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including internal and external monthly statements, audits and budgets.
• Prepares journal entries and reconciliations for month/quarter/year end close.
• Prepares and distributes month end reports for multiple companies; maintains fixed assets across regions in the ERP system.
• Monitors processes to improve efficiency while maintaining high accuracy.
• Assists with accounts payable/receivable, cash control, payroll processing, and tax reconciliation.
• Coordinates accounts receivable aging, billings, and cash receipts applications.
• Ensures SOX, SEC reporting, tax compliance, and contract adherence.
• Provides financial advice to other departments and assists with internal audits and year-end preparation.
• Maintains internal controls and close/reporting cycles; performs cost roll-ups and asset reconciliations.
