Job summary

Southwest Material Handling is seeking a Senior Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, oversee reporting, and support audits. The role emphasizes cost analysis, inventory valuation, and internal controls within a growing organization.

You will lead monthly close activities, improve accounting processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrity and timely reporting of financial results. Strong GAAP knowledge and Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of five years of professional experience in accounting or finance with focus on general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Experience with cost accounting, inventory management and construction background preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and auditing standards.
• Proficient in accounting software and computerized ledger systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including data analysis and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present financial information clearly.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with the accounting team.
