Job summary

MCR Safety Group, a division of Bunzl, seeks a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. You will analyze financial results, prepare journal entries, and manage reconciliations while supporting process improvements across departments.

You will collaborate with the Controller on budgeting, variance analysis, and monthly reporting, building financial models and templates to enhance accuracy and efficiency across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting and finance; ERP experience required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in month-end close with reconciliations and journal entries.
• Analyze monthly P&L and balance sheet variances; drive actions to close gaps.
• Improve processes for commission and rebate accruals and payments; develop models.
• Assist with budget preparation, analysis by cost center, and forecasting.
