Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience with ownership of complex activities, reconciliations, controls, or reporting.
• Experience leading projects or workstreams with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and communicate effectively with leadership.
• Experience in corporate accounting, insurance, or financial services preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting workstreams to support accurate financial reporting, close processes, strong reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, reconciliations, and schedules for accuracy and compliance.
• Evaluate complex accounting issues; identify root causes and recommend scalable solutions.
• Document accounting procedures, controls, and workflows to increase efficiency and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate deliverables and move priorities forward.
• Translate findings into clear updates for business partners and senior leaders.
• Coach and support team members to strengthen accounting knowledge.
• Support month-, quarter-, and year-end close with detailed analysis.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve financial outcomes.
