Job Overview – Senior Accountant - Financial Analysis – 34479
Our client, a large, established organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support monthly close, financial analysis, contract compliance, and reconciliations related to insurance premiums and fringe benefit expenses. This role will partner with teams across the organization to ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen processes and controls, and support contractual compliance. The position is hybrid, with two days in the office and three days remote. The week of monthly close is fully remote.
Job Responsibilities
- Support monthly close activities, including journal entries and analysis of P&L and balance sheet accounts.
- Analyze contractual data, identify trends, and prepare reporting to support business decisions.
- Complete reconciliations related to insurance, benefits, and contractual expenses.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and controls to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate financial and contractual data while ensuring compliance with established policies.
- Provide financial analysis and support to sector finance teams and key stakeholders.
- Partner with Finance, Benefits, Risk, Legal, Payroll, FP&A, and other cross-functional teams.
- Handle confidential HR and benefits information with appropriate discretion.
- Assist with special projects and additional analysis as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 3+ years of accounting and financial analysis experience.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and SAP skills.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with Hyperion/Essbase, Access, Power BI, BlackLine, or SQL is a plus.
