Job summary

The Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC) is seeking a Senior Accountant to maintain and review financial records, post entries, and process accounts receivable in a fast-paced environment in Birmingham, AL.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of accounting experience, a bachelor’s degree in accounting, strong communication skills, and a commitment to confidentiality. A valid driver’s license is required; credit checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of accounting experience including reconciliations and accounts receivable.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting strongly preferred.
• Valid State Driver License.
• Credit check required due to fiduciary responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Post entries and process invoices for accounts receivable.
• Perform account reconciliations and generate financial reports.
• Assist in month-end close and prepare financial statements.
• Maintain internal controls and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with BJCC partners and tenants.
