Connecticut Children's is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead complex financial analyses, ensure GAAP compliance, and support ERP implementations. You will train junior staff, manage reconciliations, and prepare consolidated financial statements for affiliated entities.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education & Experience: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field plus 7 years of accounting/auditing experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing GAAP, analyze, reconcile and record complex financial transactions into the ERP and maintain audit trail.
• Monitor transactions for policies, GAAP compliance.
• Prepare timely reporting of consolidated financial results for Connecticut Children’s affiliated companies.
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff and act as SME for ERP implementations and upgrades.
• Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement and budget variance analyses and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for internal and external audits.
• Assess internal controls and develop recommendations to enhance controls.
• Oversee month-end closings and ensure deadlines are met.
• Prepare cash flow statements and 13-week forecasts.
• Prepare tax filings and support annual surveys.
• Back up Accounting Manager for key banking functions.
