Job summary

HAI Group in Cheshire, CT is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to prepare balance sheets, P&L, and other financial reports. You will analyze trends, costs, revenues, and obligations to forecast future results, and you may advise on resource use and tax strategies. You’ll lead enterprise closing with coaching and oversight for staff.

The role requires on-site presence for training in Cheshire, CT and building strong partnerships with internal teams and external banks and brokers.

Qualifications

• GAAP/STAT knowledge and regulatory requirements are essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Analytical problem solving and attention to detail are critical.
• Time management skills and ability to prioritize are necessary.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Make monthly accounting entries and support the accounting team.
• Complete statutory and regulatory filings as required.
• Handle specialized functions including investment accounting, membership accounting, and taxes.
