Job summary

Connecticut Children’s seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst to provide financial support, guidance, and analysis for enterprise-wide business development and operating initiatives, and to contribute to operating, capital, and long-range plans.

The role partners with executive leadership, supports cost accounting practices, and leads projects to improve planning processes, requiring strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative/analytical discipline.
• Five to seven years of organizational budgeting process management and long-range planning.
• Healthcare setting and/or healthcare consulting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the annual operating and capital budgets and long-range plan.
• Analyze proposed budget requests and enhance organizational dialogue on budget issues.
• Develop, improve, and streamline financial processes, reports, and planning tools.
• Oversee and enhance institutional cost accounting practices.
• Act as a liaison between Finance and other hospital areas and physician practices.
• Collaborate with business leaders to develop multi-year plans for new programs and ROI evaluation.
• Develop analyses to evaluate financial performance and growth opportunities.
• Prepare and present monthly financial and operating reports to leadership.
