Job summary

Progress Rail in Texas is seeking a Senior Accountant to prepare financial reports and analyze financial information for assigned areas. You will handle journal entries, monitor balances, and oversee ERP transactions to ensure accurate reporting.

You will perform account reconciliations, provide advanced level reporting on request, and may supervise junior staff. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years of accounting experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with ERP systems and GAAP knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and with teams.
• Experience in manufacturing accounting; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries on a routine basis and monitor balances.
• Monitor ERP transactions and perform account reconciliations.
• Provide advanced level reporting upon request.
• May supervise the work of others.
