Job summary

Bitwise Asset Management is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team and oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including month-end close activities. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, support new system integrations, and contribute to growth from an accounting/compliance perspective.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong communication skills, and experience with NetSuite and Ramp.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of Accounting/Finance experience supporting month- and quarter-end close activities, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Familiarity with accounting software or willingness to learn (e.g., NetSuite, Ramp).

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Work on monthly journal entries for fair market value of Digital Assets and Fund Investments for month-close.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate accruals, month-end close activities, and financial reporting related schedules.
• Manage bank reconciliations and other balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support audits (external and internal), including preparation of schedules and responding to auditor requests.
• Liaise with tax consultants for periodic federal, state tax and VAT payments.
• Support preparation of monthly recharges and invoicing to subsidiaries.
• Support special projects and evolving business needs as requested (e.g., general ledger schedules, accruals, prepaids, and statutory liabilities).
• Provide support during financial audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and timely responses to audit queries.
• Work closely with global accounting teams for accounting tasks.
