Job summary

Asbury is seeking a Senior Accountant – Corporate Accounting to manage the consolidation process, month-end and quarter-end closes, and analysis for stakeholders. The role reports to the Manager – Corporate Accounting and is based in our Atlanta, GA office with a hybrid work arrangement.

This position offers exposure to senior leadership and a strong foundation for future growth. You will collaborate with internal teams, support forecasts and financial reporting, and participate in audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • CPA is preferred but not required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a public company or corporate accounting environment.
  • Public accounting experience is preferred.
  • Experience with the financial statement consolidation process.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, and a working knowledge of ERP systems (OneStream experience is preferred).
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented professional who is comfortable working with team members in various functional areas (e.g., financial systems, finance, tax, treasury, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidation and financial analysis for corporate reporting.
  • Forecasting and budgeting activities.
  • Accounting for acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Accounting for reserves, treasury and cash activity, and borrowings.
  • Monthly review and analysis to ensure completeness and accuracy of the consolidated financial statements.
  • Maintain the account reconciliation policy and monitor compliance.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors to respond to information requests and resolve issues during the audit cycle.

Job description

The Senior Accountant – Corporate Accounting is responsible for various aspects of the consolidation process, including month-end and quarter-end close, validation and analysis of reported results, and supporting the internal financial reporting and analysis needs for various stakeholders. You will be reporting directly to the Manager – Corporate Accounting. The position is based in our Atlanta, GA office and a hybrid work arrangement provides the opportunity to interact with senior leadership members on a regular basis. This is an excellent opportunity to transition from public accounting to a corporate accounting environment and develop a solid foundation for future career growth in the accounting organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Corporate Support consolidation and financial analysis
  • Corporate Support forecasting and budgeting
  • Accounting for Acquisitions and divestitures
  • The accounting for several Corporate related areas including:
    • Reserves
    • Treasury and cash activity
    • Borrowings
  • Performing detailed review and analysis monthly to help ensure the completeness and accuracy of the Company’s consolidated financial statements.
  • Maintaining the Company’s account reconciliation policy and monitoring compliance with the policy.
