We are partnering with a rapidly growing, privately held organization that has scaled significantly through acquisition and is looking to add a Senior Accountant to its corporate accounting team. This is a strong opportunity for a CPA coming from Big 4 or public accounting who wants to move into a hands on, highly visible role with real growth potential.
This role offers broad exposure across consolidated financial reporting, M&A integration, and process improvement, with the chance to work closely with senior leadership and take on increasing scope as the organization continues to expand. The team is collaborative and places a strong emphasis on process improvement and modernizing reporting through ERP and automation tools.
What You’ll Do
- Support the month end close process for consolidated financials across the corporate entity and its subsidiaries, including bank and credit card reconciliations, payroll postings, accruals, and general ledger entries
- Work with the Assistant Controller and broader team to publish monthly GAAP financial statements and operational reports on a defined monthly timeline, including variance analysis and management commentary
- Prepare work papers and reconciliations supporting balance sheet accounts and select income statement accounts
- Support payables and expense reimbursement processes to ensure timely, accurate payment to vendors and employees
- Support the integration of newly acquired business units into the organization’s reporting systems and consolidated financials
- Participate in purchase accounting processes and assist with daily and weekly cash reporting
- Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards, including ASC 606 and ASC 842
- Manage business registrations, licenses, and payroll tax accounts across multiple states
- Partner with outsourced accounting resources to meet weekly and monthly deliverables, including training and process improvement recommendations
- Contribute to the implementation of ERP based reporting tools to support real time financial and operational data
- Support annual audits and quarterly/annual tax filings, and help identify process improvements that simplify audit and tax preparation
- Reports to the Assistant Controller; collaborates regularly with the CFO, Controller, senior leadership, and external auditors and lenders
What We’re Looking For
- Blended experience between Public Accounting and Industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- CPA license required (or actively sitting for the exam with completion expected soon)
- Previous or current Big 4 / public accounting experience required
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Consolidations Experience
Preferred Experience
- Master’s degree in Accounting
- Assurance or advisory experience at a large regional or Big 4 firm
- Experience with ERP systems, payables, T&E, and banking platforms
