What You’ll Do:

This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role. You’ll report directly to the executive team and oversee all core financial operations. From managing international accounting to preparing investor-ready reports, you’ll help shape the financial backbone of one of the world’s most promising Islamic fintech platforms.

Financial Operations & Reporting

• Own the full accounting cycle: general ledger, reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll, expense tracking
• Prepare and present GAAP-compliant monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Lead multi-entity financial consolidation across U.S. and international jurisdictions

Controls, Audit & Governance

• Build and enforce internal financial controls and risk management protocols
• Coordinate external audits and ensure readiness for due diligence or financial reviews
• Oversee implementation of financial SOPs as the company scales

Cash Flow & Treasury

• Monitor cash flows across accounts and geographies
• Forecast cash runway and funding needs to support business planning and investor communications

FP&A and Strategic Finance

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with leadership
• Support investor updates, board reports, and capital raise materials with clean financial data
• Assist in financial modeling for new initiatives or investment opportunities

Tax, Equity & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local tax filings (with international coordination)
• Manage accounting for stock options and investor share issuances
• Stay informed on financial regulations across relevant jurisdictions

What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA required; MBA or CA designation is a plus

Experience

• 5–8+ years in accounting or financial management roles
• Proven experience in a high-growth startup, fintech, or SaaS company
• Hands-on knowledge of GAAP, multi-entity reporting, and investor-backed accounting practices
• Experience preparing for audits, board meetings, or due diligence reviews

Tools & Skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite
• Familiarity with Cap Table management tools (e.g., Carta) is a plus
• Detail-oriented, highly analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Base Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 USD/year (based on experience)
• Performance Bonus: Tied to KPIs, financial milestones, and strategic outcomes
• Equity: Generous ESOP package available for mission-aligned candidates
• Work Setup: Hybrid with flexibility; based in New York HQ
