Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support high-impact projects in our Rio Rancho, NM area. You will lead month-end close, manage project-based accounting, and ensure accurate general ledger activity.

You will collaborate with operations and project teams, handle WIP reporting, and prepare financial analyses. We offer competitive pay, health benefits, 401(k), PTO, and long-term opportunities in a growing company.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or contracting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with job costing and project-based accounting.
• Familiarity with WIP reporting is a plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries and general ledger activity.
• Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support job costing and project financial tracking.
• Assist with WIP schedules and percentage of completion accounting.
• Prepare financial reports and support management with analysis.
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and project teams.
