Job summary

Guy Roofing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the Controller in managing accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and process improvements. This hands-on role oversees GL activity, job costing, and WIP reporting to ensure timely month-end and year-end closes.

You will collaborate across departments, implement ERP integrations, and help maintain accurate financial records while driving continuous improvements and compliance with GAAP.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience in construction, manufacturing, or project-based business.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Strong attention to detail, accountability, and commitment to accuracy and improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Accounting software experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain general ledger accounts and reconciliations.
• Assist monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and balance sheet analyses.
• Investigate variances and provide explanations to management.
• Support internal controls and compliance with policies.
• Assist with year-end reporting, audits, and tax requests.
• Oversee WIP reporting and job profitability analysis.
• Coordinate ERP and financial system integrations.
• Liaise with warehouse for inventory counts and GL reconciliation.
