Job summary

Sphere Entertainment Co. is seeking a Senior Accountant to support corporate accounting in day-to-day operations and monthly close. The role includes journal entries, reconciliations, and providing substantiated analyses for Balance Sheet and P&L.

The incumbent will prepare entries for bonuses, restructurings, pensions, and legal matters, and will assist with audits and tax requests while seeking improvements in reporting systems.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Accounting/Finance is required.
• 2–3 years public accounting or corporate accounting experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong understanding of monthly close processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide monthly/ quarterly Balance Sheet and P&L analysis with substantiation.
• Prepare journal entries for bonuses, restructurings, pensions, legal matters and other accruals.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and monthly results reports for corporate departments.
• Support Tax, External Audit and Internal Audit requests with documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial systems for reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate account balances and resolve reconciling items.
• May supervise student associates occasionally.
• Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members on-site.
