Sphere Entertainment Co. is seeking a Senior Accountant to support corporate accounting in day-to-day operations and during monthly and quarterly closes. You will work on journal entries, account reconciliations, and provide financial analysis for multiple corporate departments.

The role requires a BS/BA in Accounting or Finance, 2–3 years of experience (Big 4 preferred), and strong Excel skills. CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Accounting/Finance or related discipline.
• 2–3 years public accounting experience in a large firm or corporate environment.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong understanding of monthly close process.
• Proficient in Excel with strong writing and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide timely monthly/quarterly Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss analyses with substantiation; suggest adjusting entries as needed.
• Prepare journal entries for bonuses, restructuring, professional fees, pensions, and other accruals; perform monthly/quarterly reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly results reports for Corporate Departments.
• Support Tax, External Audit and Internal Audit with documentation and explanations.
• Identify opportunities to improve company-wide use of financial systems for accuracy and timeliness.
• Partner with Finance to ensure accurate account balances and resolve reconciling items.
• Support Corporate Accounting activities and assist with ad hoc projects; may supervise student associates occasionally.
• Provide exceptional experiences for guests and team members, adhering to appearance guidelines on-site.
