Sphere Entertainment Co. is hiring a Senior Accountant to support Corporate Accounting in daily operations and the monthly/ quarterly close. Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, and providing detailed balance sheet and P&L analyses for various corporate departments.

The role requires a BS/BA in Accounting or Finance, 2–3 years in public accounting or a large corporate setting, and CPA is preferred. On-site position with a competitive pay range of $75,000–$110,000 USD.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Accounting/Finance (or related discipline).
• 2–3 years public accounting in a large firm or corporate environment.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong understanding of monthly close process.
• Experience with financial statements, analyses and reconciliations.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong Excel and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely monthly/quarterly Balance Sheet and P&L analyses with substantiation.
• Prepare journal entries for bonuses, severance/restructuring, pensions, accruals; reconcile balances.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reports for Corporate departments.
• Support Tax, External Audit and Internal Audit with documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial systems for accuracy and timeliness.
• Partner with Finance to ensure accurate balances and resolve reconciling items.
• Assist Corporate Accounting with day-to-day activities and ad hoc projects.
• Occasionally supervise student associates and maintain on-site guest experience guidelines.
