The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, 5+ years of related experience (CPA/Masters preferred), solid GAAP knowledge, and strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and standards.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; JD Edwards skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting support for regional operations.
• Heavily involved in the month-end close process.
• Prepare and maintain monthly accruals across multiple plant operations.
• Work with plant personnel to ensure transactions are properly recorded.
• Analyze operating results with regional management.
• Prepare timely and accurate management reporting.
• Reconcile balance accounts and perform standard and ad-hoc analyses.
• Identify process improvements and implement efficiencies.
• Support internal and external audit requests.
• Develop strong knowledge of the business.
