Job summary

Wander is seeking a Senior Accountant to own the close process, general ledger, and revenue accounting for a high-growth company. You will partner with Product and Engineering to scale financial systems while maintaining top-tier controls.

Remote-first across the US with offices in Austin, TX, and San Francisco. A CPA (or equivalent) and 5–8+ years in accounting, including startups or SaaS, are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8+ years of accounting experience at high-growth companies or startups.
• CPA or equivalent strongly preferred; Big 4 experience a plus.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Hands-on with NetSuite/QuickBooks Online and payment data; strong Excel; SQL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close, general ledger, and reconciliations for accuracy and timing.
• Prepare financial statements and variance analyses; maintain clean books for audits.
• Own revenue accounting across marketplace, subscriptions, and payment processing; ASC 606.
