Antithesis in Vienna, VA is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial close, reporting, and compliance. You will work across the general ledger, reconciliations, and audit support, taking ownership of numbers and ensuring accuracy.

The role requires technical accounting knowledge, a systematic close process, and attention to detail in a fast-moving software company. You will collaborate with finance, tax, and audit teams to maintain clean, auditable books.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting experience; public accounting background preferred.
• CPA or active CPA candidate preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, esp. revenue recognition for software/SaaS.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Self-starter who can operate with limited direction in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Apply GAAP standards, including ASC 606 revenue recognition, to our SaaS business model.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Support internal controls and document accounting policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audit and interim reviews.
• Assist with tax compliance, including support for federal and state filings.
• Identify opportunities to improve close efficiency and accuracy.
