Job summary

The Catholic Health Association of the United States is seeking a Senior Accountant to maintain the integrity of financial records and own day-to-day accounting operations, including the general ledger, monthly close, and reconciliations.

You will partner with Finance leadership to support reporting, budgeting, audits, and process improvements, ensuring timely, accurate financial information for decision making and organizational success.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP; nonprofit accounting experience preferred.
• Experience owning or leading a financial close process.
• Experience with Sage Intacct strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger and prepare journal entries and reconciliations to ensure accurate records.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with timely completion and issue resolution.
• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable activities and related GL accounts.
• Oversee revenue accounting, revenue recognition, and deferred revenue in accordance with GAAP.
• Maintain integrity of financial data across systems including Sage Intacct; monitor integrations.
