Job summary

PacBio in Menlo Park, CA seeks a Senior Accountant to manage the monthly/quarterly close, GAAP compliance, and SEC reporting. You will oversee fixed assets, CP, and intangibles, coordinate with FP&A, and drive process improvements within a fast-growing company.

The role requires 5+ years of corporate accounting, SAP experience, and strong Excel skills, with a CPA preferred. Onsite Monday–Thursday; some flexibility may apply. Competitive salary range provided.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of relevant corporate accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent
• Experience with SAP or other robust ERP system(s)
• Fluency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
• Knowledge of COSO framework and SOX compliance

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures
• Own end-to-end accounting for construction in process, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and intangibles
• Apply GAAP and internal policies; prepare accounting white papers
• Coordinate data with business partners and provide guidance on Fixed Assets accounting
• Prepare SEC footnotes and schedules; support internal controls and process improvements
• Prepare audit schedules for quarter-end and year-end; review purchase requisitions for proper coding
• Lead ad-hoc projects as required
