Job summary

Griffin Health seeks a Senior Accountant to lead the month-end close for Planetree International and support the Griffin Health System accounting function. This hands-on role reports to the Controller and collaborates with Planetree’s leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliant processes.

You will manage journal entries, GL reconciliations, intercompany activities, budgeting, and ad hoc analyses, with duties spanning revenue integrity, cash forecasting, and audit support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required; CPA or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience; healthcare/nonprofit/public accounting experience a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online including invoicing, accounts receivable and reconciliations.
• Experience with general ledger systems (GL) like Meditech or similar.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly general ledger close for Planetree International, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Reconcile GL accounts, bank, AR, and payroll monthly.
• Coordinate invoicing, collections, reconciliations and revenue integrity with Planetree staff.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and maintain mappings between systems.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis by department/region.
• Support treasury management and cash forecasting.
• Collaborate with AP and shared services on payments and documentation.
• Provide audit support and Form 990 documentation as needed.
