Job summary

Griffin Health is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead the month-end close for Planetree International and support the Griffin Health System. This hands-on role reports to the Controller and collaborates with Planetree's VP, Corporate Services.

Responsibilities include GL closings, reconciliations, invoicing, inter-company activity, budgeting, and ad-hoc analyses for senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience; healthcare/nonprofit or public accounting a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online including invoicing, AR and reconciliations.
• Experience with general ledger systems; Meditech or similar.
• Advanced Excel skills for large data manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly general ledger close for Planetree and prepare journal entries.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank, A/R and payroll.
• Coordinate invoicing, collections and revenue integrity with Planetree staff.
• Perform consolidations and inter-company reconciliations between QuickBooks Online and Meditech.
• Assist in budget to variance analysis for Planetree departments and programs.
• Prepare ad-hoc analyses and support documentation for senior management.
