Job summary

Baxters North America Inc is seeking a Senior Accountant to maintain the integrity of financial records and support monthly and year-end close in the Cincinnati area.

The role requires 5+ years in finance and accounting, a Bachelor's in finance or accounting, and preferably a CPA. Responsibilities include reconciliations, journal entries, tax support, asset management, and collaboration with auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required; CPA a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting processes.
• Experience with month-end and year-end close activities.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and post journal entries.
• Prepare schedules and information for tax preparation.
• Support monthly financial reporting with data analysis.
• Collaborate with auditors and management on accounting matters.
• Provide training or guidance to junior staff as needed.
• Document processes and identify efficiency improvements.
• Ensure accuracy of depreciation and fixed asset records.
• Backup for accounts payable, payroll, and cost accounting as required.
