Job summary

The Senior Accountant at Thornton & Grooms Heating, Cooling & Plumbing in Farmington Hills, MI, supports the Controller with accurate, timely financial reporting. You will reconcile GL accounts, assist month-end close, manage AR/AP, and provide payroll backup as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or comparable experience.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close.
• Process customer payments and deposits and manage AR.
• Participate in accounts receivable collections and process vendor invoices.
• Reconcile vendor statements and assist with financial statement preparation.
• Research and explain budget variances and assist with job-cost analysis.
• Support the Controller and other departments as needed.
