Job summary

Legends Global at Huntington Place Detroit is seeking a Senior Accountant to support monthly close, financial reporting, and audit activities. The role requires independent work, sound judgment, and collaboration across departments in a fast-paced venue environment.

Responsibilities include leading general ledger activities, preparing statements, analyzing variances, and ensuring accuracy. Proficiency in Dynamics 365, ADP, and advanced Excel is essential for success in this onsite role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or equivalent is required.
• 4–6 years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and ADP is highly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for monthly close.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end close and financial reporting.
• Analyze financial results and variances for leadership review.
• Review payroll processes and related entries for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with external audits and GAAP/compliance deliverables.
• Utilize Dynamics 365 and ADP for reporting and processes.
• Support banking activities and ad hoc analysis; back up accounting staff.
