Job summary

Planetary Scale is hiring a Senior Accountant to manage accounting and day-to-day finance for several climate and energy-transition client companies. You will own the close, handle payables/receivables, payroll, and tax filings, and support audits while collaborating with a peer accountant and engagement leads.

You will work with QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Brex, applying US GAAP to complex multi‑currency transactions.

Qualifications

• Experience with US GAAP, close processes, and revenue recognition.
• Experience at a Big Four or leading national/regional firm.
• Fluent English and ability to work US hours.
• CPA or equivalent qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close for multiple client companies.
• Manage payables, receivables, payroll, and tax filings.
• Support audits and investor diligence.
• Improve close processes with checklists or automation.
• Work with QuickBooks Online or Xero.
