Job summary

The Addison Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a collaborative public accounting team, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients including small to mid-sized businesses, individuals, trusts, and high-net-worth families.

You will handle full-cycle accounting, client relationships, and exposure to tax and advisory services while working with experienced CPA partners in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Hands-on bookkeeping and accounts payable experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities for a portfolio of clients.
• Oversee general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, accounts payable, and financial recordkeeping.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes and preparation of financial statements.
• Support tax preparation and compliance activities as needed.
• Assist with trust accounting and related client reporting.
• Communicate directly with clients to gather financial information, resolve discrepancies, and address accounting questions.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, streamline processes, and leverage technology and automation.
• Maintain accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable accounting standards.
• Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and service.
