Senior Accountant - Client Accounting Services

We are a local CPA firm in the Chicago area with over 80 years of experience. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team and provide high-quality accounting services to our clients.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare financial statements, manage accounts receivable and payable, reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts, and maintain accurate financial records for complex clients.
2. Prepare and submit payroll tax and sales tax returns, and handle payroll processing for your client list.
3. Conduct complex research on payroll and sales tax issues.
4. Build and maintain positive client relationships by addressing their accounting needs, responding to inquiries, and delivering exceptional service.
5. Assist in onboarding new clients by gathering financial information, setting up accounting systems, and establishing reporting protocols.
6. Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data, maintaining organized records and workpapers.
7. Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to ensure seamless service delivery and support senior team members.

Requirements

• 4+ years of accounting experience, with current or prior public accounting experience.
• Experience with CCH software, QuickBooks, Yardi.
• M.S. in Taxation preferred.

Additional Information

This role is expected to be on-site 3 days a week for the first 6 months, then it will transition to remote work. The base pay range is $75,000 to $95,000 per year, depending on experience.
