Job summary

LJB CPA is seeking an experienced accountant to lead month-end and year-end closes for multiple clients, review accounts, and prepare detailed financial statements. You will guide budgeting and cash flow planning and act as a strategic resource.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years in client accounting or public accounting, a solid GAAP background, strong communication, and a collaborative mindset. LJB offers flexible time off and growth opportunities within a supportive culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes for multiple clients with limited oversight
• Review and reconcile complex accounts and bank statements
• Oversee full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR); resolve discrepancies and mentor junior team members
• Maintain and review general ledgers to ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data
• Prepare and present detailed financial statements, management reports, and client dashboards
• Guide clients through budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
• Identify and recommend process improvements and system enhancements to improve client operations
• Serve as a strategic resource for clients—providing analysis, answering questions, and offering meaningful financial insights
• Support CPA partners in higher-level services, including financial reviews, audits, and tax planning
• Mentor and review work of junior staff or bookkeepers as needed
