Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years within the defense contractor industry.
• CPA or CPA candidate is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Perform month-end and year-end close activities with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
• Identify and lead opportunities to automate workflows and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and efficiencies.
• Ensure GAAP, FAR, CAS, and government contracting compliance, incl. supporting DCAA audits.
• Document accounting workflows and internal controls to support audit readiness.
• Prepare tax filings across federal, state, local, and international levels; coordinate with external tax advisors.
• Perform gross-to-net payroll reconciliations and payroll-related account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with HR and Payroll to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure timely processing.
