Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 5–7 years progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years within the defense contractor industry.
• CPA or CPA candidate is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
• Identify and lead opportunities to automate workflows and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and efficiencies.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors for federal, state, local, and international filings and tax schedules.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements.
• Support DCAA audits and other government reviews.
• Document accounting workflows, SOPs, and control narratives for audit readiness.
