Job summary

Perfect Timing Personnel Services, Inc. in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller to join our finance team. This role reports to the CFO, supervising one accounting staff member and contributing to financial reporting, month-end close, audits, and budget support.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills, with nonprofit and Financial Edge experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• CPA designation or CPA-track candidate is a plus.
• Nonprofit accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with Financial Edge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP and prepare monthly financial reports.
• Assist with month-end close, audits, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Monitor cash flow, bank accounts, and treasury functions.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Support process improvements and documentation of accounting policies.
• Provide supervision and guidance to accounting staff.
