Job summary

HeroDevs, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead month-end close, ensure GL accuracy, and manage accounts receivable across US and international markets.

You will own invoicing, collections, and billing inquiries while collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, and outside tax advisors to support growth. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in accounting, experience with AR, and a passion for AI-driven process improvements in a fast-paced SaaS company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4+ years of general accounting experience including month-end close and reconciliations
• Experience owning or supporting an accounts receivable function
• Working knowledge of US sales/use tax and VAT concepts
• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets; ERP and CRM experience preferred
• Interest in using AI tools to improve accuracy and efficiency
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; excellent communication
• Experience in a B2B SaaS or subscription business is a plus
• CPA/certification is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and resolve variances
• Own AR function: invoicing, collections, dunning, and inquiries
• Process accounts payable and code credit card activity
• Track AR aging, DSO, and collections metrics
• Assist with audit support and internal controls
• Respond to customer requests for documentation (W-9s, invoices, etc.)
• Identify automation opportunities using AI tools to streamline workflows
• Maintain documentation of accounting and AR processes
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Success, and FP&A
