Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Charlotte, NC. This role leads month-end close, ensures financial accuracy, and drives process improvements in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP; SEC reporting experience preferred if applicable.
• Experience with cost of goods sold and manufacturing/operational environment preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities with cross-functional coordination.
• Prepare and post journal entries and accruals with supporting documentation.
• Run reconciliations, investigate items, and maintain balance sheet and income statement support.
• Prepare schedules and analyses for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and reporting packages.
• Analyze activity and variances; communicate findings and actions to partners.
• Document technical accounting matters and support GAAP guidance implementation.
• Maintain internal controls and respond to audit requests.
• Provide financial insights and support to stakeholders; drive process improvements.
