Job summary

Spreedly, the world’s leading Open Payments Platform, is hiring a Senior Accountant in Durham, NC. You will own month‑end close, automate processes, and partner with finance across the organization to improve accuracy and speed.

The role emphasizes ownership, judgment, and continuous improvement using AI tools to streamline tasks. Reporting to the Controller, this hands‑on IC position requires a proactive mindset, strong reconciliations, and experience with NetSuite and Ramp.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Solid working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including exposure to revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Hands‑on experience with a major ERP; NetSuite strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the recurring month‑end close: post journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and amortization; complete assigned reconciliations; investigate variances.
• Perform balance sheet and subledger reconciliations across the general ledger.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing in an increasingly automated environment.
• Process and administer company payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulations.
• Record and reconcile payroll‑related accounting entries (Rippling) and administer equity/stock (Carta).
• Support day‑to‑day expense management, including reviewing and reconciling employee expense reports.
