Job summary

Virta Health is seeking a hands-on Revenue Accountant to own significant portions of the revenue close, apply ASC 606, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure clean financials as the company scales. You will analyze monthly results, lead automation projects, monitor data quality, and support quarterly reviews and audits.

Remote-first with Denver and San Francisco offices, compensation range $84k-$108.5k, aligned to experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
5+ years of revenue accounting experience.
CPA preferred.
Solid understanding of ASC 606 and revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

Own significant portions of the revenue close process, including journal entries and analyses.
Apply ASC 606 and Virta policies to revenue arrangements and research questions.
Analyze monthly/quarterly/annual revenue results and communicate insights to leadership.
Partner with Strategic Finance, Revenue Cycle, Operations, Legal and others to resolve questions.
Lead revenue accounting projects and automation initiatives to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Monitor revenue systems and data quality, address exceptions and drive resolution.
Support quarterly reviews and annual audits with schedules and explanations.
Identify control improvements and share knowledge to elevate the team.
