Springfield Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to partner with Finance leadership and departments to support budgeting, audit prep, vendor payments, and process improvements. The role requires independent, advanced accounting work and timely financial reporting.

The Senior Accountant will:

• Perform advanced accounting work independently.

• Prepare accounting analysis and reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Associate degree and equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree (MBA) (preferred)
• Three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including application of GAAP principles
• Informal leadership or mentoring experience (preferred)
• Healthcare accounting experience (preferred)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation (preferred)
• Must be proficient in GAAP accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
• Complex computer skills required –Excel (pivot tables, v-look up, etc.)
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Efficient time management skills.
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Mastery of accounting software.

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is $73,000.00 - $82,000.00 annually. The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
