Job summary

Purpose Brands, LLC, the parent company of Orangetheory, Anytime Fitness, Waxing the City and The Bar Method, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team. This role supports the monthly close process, revenue recognition and financial reporting across our dynamic multi-brand fitness organization in a fast-paced and inspirational culture.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, strong Excel skills, and GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years of private or public accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Familiarity with financial statements (I/S, B/S, Cash Flow) and related footnotes.
• Solid understanding of general ledger functions and close processes.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Payroll and benefits entries and accruals.
• Manages CIP and fixed assets across all brands.
• Prepares journal entries, including intercompany transactions and allocations.
• Analyses and reconciles complex balance sheet and income statements.
• Maintains the general ledger and ensures timely, accurate trial balances.
• Prepares and explains actual vs. budget variance analysis.
• Performs account reconciliations and supports month-end reporting.
• Assists with financial and tax audits.
• Contributes to process improvements, policies, and internal control initiatives.
• Supports the Accounting Manager with ad hoc tasks and projects.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant who will support the monthly close process, revenue recognition, and financial reporting for our dynamic multi-brand fitness organization. They have a strong GAAP knowledge, experience with complex reconciliations, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Purpose/Impact: (Duties & Essential Functions)
