Job summary

Purpose Brands Intermediate, LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant to support monthly close, revenue recognition, and financial reporting for its multi-brand fitness organization. The role emphasizes strong GAAP knowledge, complex reconciliations, and collaboration across teams.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in accounting, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, advanced Excel, and experience with month-end close and reconciliations. CPA and NetSuite/Workday experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years of private or public accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
• Familiarity with financial statements (I/S, B/S, Cash Flow) and related footnotes
• Solid understanding of general ledger functions and close processes
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• CPA license (preferred)
• Experience with NetSuite (preferred)
• Experience with Workday or payroll-related accounting (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Support monthly close process and financial reporting for multi-brand organization
• Manage payroll and benefits entries and accruals
• Handle CIP and fixed assets across brands
• Prepare journal entries including intercompany transactions and allocations
• Analyze and reconcile complex balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Assist with audits and provide ad hoc tasks as needed

The ideal candidate is a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant who will support the monthly close process, revenue recognition, and financial reporting for our dynamic multi-brand fitness organization. They have a strong GAAP knowledge, experience with complex reconciliations, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Purpose/Impact: (Duties & Essential Functions)

• Responsible for payroll and benefits entries and accruals
• Manages CIP and fixed asset across all brands
• Prepares journal entries, including intercompany transactions and departmental allocations
• Analyzes and reconcile complex balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Maintains the general ledger and ensure timely, accurate trial balances
• Prepares and explain actual vs. budget variance analysis
• Performs account reconciliations and support month-end reporting
• Assists with financial and tax audits
• Contributes to process improvements, policies, and internal control initiatives
• Supports the Accounting Manager with ad hoc tasks and projects

Required Qualifications

• 3 or more years of private or public accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
