Job description

Join a rapidly growing organization where you will have the opportunity to build, improve, and shape the accounting function as the business scales.

Our client is looking for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys more than simply closing the books. This role will be instrumental in putting the right accounting infrastructure, processes, and controls in place to support continued growth.

You will work closely with leadership to strengthen financial reporting, improve the month-end close, establish policies and procedures, and ensure the accounting function is prepared for the company's next stage. If you enjoy walking into a growing environment, identifying what needs to be built, and creating better ways of doing things, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
  • Play a key role in building the accounting infrastructure for a rapidly expanding company.
  • Have the opportunity to create processes and policies rather than inherit a rigid structure.
  • Work closely with leadership and gain broad exposure across the accounting function.
  • Help establish controls and reporting practices that can scale with the business.
  • Take ownership of meaningful technical accounting areas, including revenue recognition, leases, and fixed assets.
  • Join an organization where your ideas can directly influence how the accounting function evolves.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the month-end close and help improve the speed, accuracy, and consistency of financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial information, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for management reporting.
  • Oversee accounting for fixed assets, revenue recognition, leases, and other technical accounting areas.
  • Evaluate current accounting practices, identify gaps and risks, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls to create a stronger and more consistent accounting environment.
  • Help establish repeatable processes and documentation that can support the company's continued growth.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and leadership to ensure business activity is properly reflected in the financial statements.
  • Assist with audits, special projects, system improvements, and other initiatives as the organization expands.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Progressive accounting experience with strong general ledger and financial reporting knowledge.
  • Experience with month-end close and preparation or review of financial statements.
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition, fixed assets, and lease accounting.
  • Experience developing or improving accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • A process-oriented mindset with the ability to identify problems and build practical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both accounting and non-accounting teams.
The Ideal Candidate

You are someone who sees a growing company and thinks, "I can help build this." You are comfortable operating in an environment where processes are still evolving, and you enjoy bringing structure, consistency, and accountability to the accounting function.

This is an opportunity to be more than a caretaker of the books. You will help create the foundation, controls, and processes that allow the accounting organization to grow alongside the business.

Salary: $105K-115K
